  • Saying Goodbye!

Almost 7 years ago, for a little fun, Tracy wrote a fictional bio for me. The end of the bio said that I was "taking on the toughest thing yet, opening a restaurant!" That turned out to be true. While being tough it also was one of the most gratifying things I've ever done.

    Reflections:

I'm so proud of our food, particularly the creations on our lunch menu. Music; my God the fun we had and the relationships that were made. I hope they will last forever. My staff; over the years we have met some amazing people. We've watched many our staff grow and mature from high school kids to college grads and beyond. We wish all of you the best of luck in all your endeavors. And last but certainly not least, our customers. Thank you to all of you for your support over the years. Many of you have become our dear friends, we are so grateful for that. It has been a pleasure to serve you.

Now to move on, not sure what all of our next adventures will be. We look forward to opening the Ice Cream Factory this spring (it will have a new look and some fun new palate pleasers). We hope to see you there! We love Fairport and you will always find us about town. One of our new hangouts will be LuLu Taqueria the new dinning experience in our old Towpath Grille space. These guys are top notch. They are regular guys and exceptional chefs. Their unique twist on a Southern California style menu is sure to impress! They have remodeled the space and it is beautiful. We hope you will all show them the same love and support you gave Towpath over the years.

    See ya 'round town!

    Neil and Tracy

ABOUT TOWPATH GRILLE ON THE ERIE CANAL

Our large windows and outdoor deck offer a perfect view of the Erie canal and one of the most unique Lift Bridges in the world: The Fairport Lift Bridge. Allegedly appearing in Ripley's "Believe It or Not!" due to its unusual construction, it is the only bridge in the world built on a bias. It is an irregular decagon, an engineering feat with no two angles being the same and no two corners are square...
